Behaviour Therapist (Full-Time)

Clinical Staffing Supports Inc. (CSS) is looking to hire dedicated and ambitious individuals to fill contract-based, full-time Behaviour Therapist positions in Oakville and surrounding areas. Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification is required, as well as membership with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario as a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA). The successful candidate will be required to work on-site and must be willing to commute to various assigned locations. Note that this is an independent contractor position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting curriculum-based, preference, Functional Behavioural Assessments (FBA), and other ABA assessments as needed

  • Developing and overseeing implementation of individual behaviour support plans and protocols and plans and organizing community follow-up and consultation

  • Developing objective monitoring data collection systems to track behavioural data

  • Providing direction and training to direct support staff and/or caregivers as per the Behavioural Skills Training (BST) model on implementation of Behavioural Support Plans

  • Developing and delivering caregiver training packages, training sessions and workshops as appropriate

  • Supervising the implementation of treatment plans

  • Evaluating progress by analyzing data collected

  • Conducting home, group home and SIL visits, providing guidance to families, staff, managers and community caregivers and therapists

  • Completing and maintaining clinical records in accordance with the BACB Ethics Code

  • Collaborating with the caregivers, program supervisor, manager, and professionals from other disciplines as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Reports to the Clinical Director

 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Master’s degree in Behavioural Analysis, Education, Applied Disability Studies, Psychology or a related discipline

  • *Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification required*

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in a home, community, or clinical setting, particularly those with dual diagnosis and autism

  • Demonstrated ability to work in the field independently, without daily supervision while planning and delivering BT services

  • Ability to work within a team. Strong assessment, planning, priority setting and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance administrative and clinical duties to meet strict deadlines

  • Professional Liability insurance is required

  • Recent Police Record Check / Vulnerable Sector Screening (within the last 6 months)

  • Medical screening

  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccinations

  • Certification in Safe Management (SMG) or willing to get one

  • Valid First-Aid & CPR certificate or willing to get one

  • Valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is required

 

Job Type: Full-Time; 37.5 hours per week

Salary: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
