Behaviour Therapist (Full-Time; 1-year contract)

Clinical Staffing Supports Inc. (CSS) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA, Ont.) to fulfill a full-time, contract-based position in an ABA center in Brampton. Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification is required, as well as membership with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario as a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA). Being an OAP-Approved Clinical Supervisor is also highly preferred. The successful candidate will be required to work on-site. Note that this is an independent contractor position for a 1-year contract, with the possibility of turning into a permanent position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Conducting curriculum-based assessments, preference assessments, Functional Behavioural Assessments (FBA), and other ABA assessments as needed

Developing and overseeing implementation of individual behaviour support plans and protocols and plans and conducting follow-up and consultation

Developing objective monitoring data collection systems to track behavioural data

Providing direction and training to direct support staff, instructor therapists, and/or caregivers as per the Behavioural Skills Training (BST) model on implementation of Behavioural Support Plans and ABA programming

Developing and delivering training packages, training sessions and workshops as appropriate

Supervising staff on the implementation of treatment plans

Evaluating progress by analyzing data collected, and making adjustments to interventions as needed

Completing and maintaining clinical records in accordance with the BACB Ethics Code

Collaborating with the staff, caregivers, program supervisor, manager, and professionals from other disciplines as needed

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:

Master’s degree in Behavioural Analysis, Education, Applied Disability Studies, Psychology or a related discipline

*Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification required*

*Registered in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) as a Registered Behaviour Analyst*

*OAP-Approved Clinical Supervisor highly preferred*

A minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in a home, community, or clinical setting

Demonstrated ability to work in the field independently, without daily supervision while planning and delivering services

Ability to work within a team. Strong assessment, planning, priority setting and problem solving skills

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
-
Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance administrative and clinical duties to meet strict deadlines

Professional Liability insurance is required

Recent Vulnerable Sector Screening (within the last 6 months)

Medical screening

Certification in Safe Management (SMG) or willing to get one

Valid First-Aid & CPR certificate or willing to get one

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
